Results & photos - HCOC Tracking Trial 11-12 July 2009

Results
This weekend saw the 2nd of this years tracking trials conducted by the Hobart Canine Obedience Club at Gretna in the states south.
This year the property was in great condition. For the last few years some of the paddocks were just dirt with the odd weed sticking through but this weekend it was lush pasture.
Even more remarkable was the weather. We had a light shower of rain on Day 2 as the last tracks were being judged and that was it. The rest of the state had torrential rain with 43mm falling at Cressy where we track in the north and 55mm Yvonne’s farm at Sidmouth up to this morning with heavy rain falling most of today.
For once, we were lucky! Judges were Denise Chrystal (Vic) and Josie Miller (SA) and the results are as follows.
Test 7 - New Tracking Champions !!
- Carol Golding’s Aussie Oscar with a very good.
- Pete Hofto’s BC Bridie with a good.
Test 6 - Tracking Dog Excellent
- Barb Duke’s BC Kirra with a pass.
Test 5
- Sean Boatwright’s Vizsla Denver with a pass.
Test 4
- Melita Saulis' Vizsla Zoe with a very good. (Handled by Pete Hofto – Mel is very pregnant).
- Kendal & Ashleys GSP Lucy with a pass.
- Di Martins Golden Darius with a pass.
- Tricia’s Mini poodle jet with a very good.
- Kris’s Sheltie Foxy with a very good.(Handled by Pete Hofto).
- Brad & Debbie’s Cocker Tzar with an excellent.
Test 3 - Tracking Dog Title
- Pat Hallam's Vizsla Wallace with a good.
- Yvonne Tomkinson's Lab Jazza with a very good.
- Jodie’s GSD Judah with a good.

- Toni Drew’s Wei with a very good (Lynn, your tips were taken on board!).

Congratulations to all those who passed and good luck for next time for those who missed out.
Special congratulations to Carol & Oscar for their T Ch. After Oscar’s health problems last year it was so nice to see him pull off the big one with ease. There were a few tears around for that one.
