TDTC Obedience Trial 28/3/2010 - Entries close 27/2/2010 (schedule available soon)
Location: Churchill Park Training grounds

Download Catalogue (not available yet)

Purpose

The idea of Obedience Trials is to demonstrate the usefulness of the dog as the
companion and guardian of man and not the ability of the dog to acquire facility in the
performance of mere tricks. The classification which has been adopted is progressive
with the thought in mind that a dog which has been granted the title of OBEDIENCE
CHAMPION has demonstrated its fitness for a place in our modern scheme of living.

(extract taken from the ANKC Rules and Exercises for Obedience Trials)

Obedience Trials Conducted by TDTC

The club conducts 3 Tasmanian Canine Association (T.C.A.) sanctioned obedience trials each year. Dogs must be registered with the T.C.A. in order to compete in these trials.  Pedigree and non pedigree dogs are able to compete in trials however non pedigree dogs would need to be registered with the TCA on the Associate Register (desexing required to register)
