I am thrilled to announce that my boy Darcey with now be known as T Ch. Hubertus Glenfiddich ET (pending approval)

after Sean handled him through a test 7 for a "good" pass for at our tracking trial held on Saturday 13th June at Cressy.

Darcey did not start tracking until he was 5 after he stayed at Pats for a weekend and she did a little track with him. After much harrasement from her I entered him in a trial and Sean agreed to handle him. Much to Sean's and my surprise Darcey passed his TQT and his tracking career was underway. Now at 8 1/2 Darcey has reached the pinnacle of tracking obtaining his Tracking Championship. Many thanks to Sean for all his hard work with Darcey and believe me for anyone who knows Darcey they would appreciate that is was hard

Below is Steward Rob, Sean, Judge Helen and Tracklayer Ashley with Darcey

What a thrill getting his Tracking Champion title

Submitted by sboatwright on Mon, 15/06/2009 - 15:54.

Ohhh yessssss!!  What a thrill it was too.

As Darcey progressed through the tracks I alsways maintained the view (especially after getting his TD Title), that it doesn't matter if he gets any further, because he has already done well.  I was never really sure if he could get a pass in the ultimate test, but once again, on the day, his mind was switched on, and he tracked like a trooper.

Darcey only stopped once on the top of a hill to smell the roses.

Special thanks goes to Pat Hallam who provided the valuable guidance and instruction that got Darcey under way.  Pat helped all the way through, and without that help Darcey would not have ever known what tracking is.

And of course the biggest thank you goes to Darcey who has provided me with a never ending supply of love and affection, and has made it all worth it.

Sean
