ABOUT US

The Tasmanian Dog Training Club is a fully affiliated member of the Tasmanian Canine Association Inc., the governing kennel authority in this state (Tasmania, Australia).

The club was formed in 1958 and was initially known as the Obedience Dog Club of Launceston.

Committee

The affairs of the club are controlled by a committee elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. The committee consists of the President, two Vice Presidents, the Secretary, the Treasurer and general committee members.

Instructors

Our dog training instructors work on a purely voluntary basis; they receive no payment allowing the club to keep class costs low. They have each received training for instructing, ensuring that a high standard is reached and passed on to those who train each Sunday.
